The way the League Championship works:
At the end of league play, the top 12 ranked players will be invited to play on Sept. 25 (Excluding Muhammad
Ali). This year if a player can not play, then the next player on the point list will be invited to play, and so on down
the list, till there is a field of 12.
For the HEAVYWIEGHT CHAMPIONSHIP, In a foursome, it will be the ranked 0 vs 3 and 1 vs
2. There will be a 3 round match on the front 9 (holes 1-3 , then holes 4-6, then holes 7-9). The winners will play each other
on the back 9 in the same format (holes 10-12, then holes 13-15, then holes 16-18) for the championship. The loser's will
play each other for 3rd place.
Front 9 Tiebreaker - Lowest score on front 9. If still tied , then the better ranked player wins.
Championship Tiebreaker - Lowest score for 18 holes. If still tied , then the better ranked player wins.
For the WELTERWIEGHT CHAMPIONSHIP , it will be 4 vs 7 and 5 vs 6. Same format.
For the LIGHTWIEGHT CHAMPIONSHIP , it will be 8 vs 11 and 9 vs 10. Same format.
You still play your own ball out because there will still be the Gross & Handicap net results for the 18 holes as
in league play.
